I had a somewhat opposite experience, my manager decided to write the how-to manual for my job without even letting me know it was happening until the day before it was to be printed. A prepaid, no refund $3000 print job had to be canceled, no surprise there, since I found 17 pages worth of errors she had made by not consulting me about my job, a job she had never done. Know-it-all managers are so much fun. 😆
