I always used in interview questions the client/user I got while working a soul-killing job as tech support for a big bank's (aaach🗝️ooooo!) terrible new online banking and poor thing, it was her first computer. No instruction I gave resulted in the right output, utterly random, unrelated boxes and apps would open, all while there was a bizarre squeaky/grinding noise in the background. She thought she had to put her mouse ON THE MONITOR SCREEN when asked to "click on...." something. 30ya and I'm still proud I got her sorted out. Very nice and patient lady after the 1st several minutes of frustration!

Similar to a question I’ve asked devs, along the lines of: “A time when you underestimated something and it took twice as long as you expected”.

Bonus points if you 2x effort and you still didn’t accomplish the task.
