So, so, so, so infuriatingly common. Typically upper management in my experience. Probably the same upper manager who managed to delete over 75gigs of a shared drive because "Well, it was on my laptop and I didn't know what it was so I deleted it."
Bonus points: It was private medical data, covered under HIPAA, and much of it was required for the medical staff to do their daily jobs.
No, we never did get him to understand what a shared server file is. We had to create a new user type that had all the exec privileges EXCEPT he couldn't delete anything on servers at all. That after I got like a week's worth of "emergency overtime" in the effort to recover everything from backups... that were done overnight but so so much else had been updated in the 10± hours between backups and his purge, basically an entire nurses' shift. Of course the entire thing also brought in a flood of highest tier tickets from the hundreds of staff across the state that needed that deleted information to do their jobs and treat their patients.
Against my will retirement is, nonetheless, not as infuriating. And far far less variety!

So soon? I normally get it a week after launch...
